Not a good advert for wanting fans to stay behind after the match.

The club should know by now that Harveys is so popular, if stocks have nearly run out after the half time break a call to the brewery just up the road should be made to deliver some more.

Just a thought, I don't know if Harveys deliver that quickly or are on standby, but the club and Harveys are obviously losing out here.

It's not down to the club, it's down to Sodexho.

Sodexho get on my wick. I've been hosting some corporate quiz nights over the past few weeks in Dick's Bar for AITC, and it's down to Sodexho to set the PA up and make sure the place is ready. Does anyone from there bother their sorry arses to do it? Do they bollocks. This especially pertinent when you know it's them who get the takings over the bar.

I know that's not the central premise of this thread, but I've seen most catering outlets in WSU through this season struggling to be supported by floor managers, and I'd suggest it's indicative of their attitude towards customers (yes, customers). They have a business model to adhere to, and if the customers plummet through the middle of it by - I don't know - wanting a beer at such an inconvenient time as straight after the game, then they might provide that, they might not.

Would Harveys have a driver , mate and vehicle on standby just in case the beer sold well at The Amex at 3pm on a Saturday when they probably dont work Saturdays or are on a skeleton staff. They are or rather were producing near to the maximum permitted as a small brewer before they moved into a higher tax bracket so do not want to push beer sales too much and would just rather meet the ordered demand.

Ok Sodexho should be putting in the call to the brewery.

Someone at the club should be having a word with Sodexho, if ST sales are down next season there will be even less people staying behind for a few pints after the match.

If they did it would probably go to an answer phone at 3.20pm on a Saturday. so what good is that.. They have got to estimate the attendance/sales Friday am. Which they probably do and on this occasion under estimated.

One would assume that the club would give Sodexho an estimated attendance by Friday after receiving all the ticket sales information.

As we've seen this season, the number of tickets sold doesn't necessarily equate to the attendance being big, but they knew that the attendance was going to be bigger than recent games.

Or rather, if we knew, they should have done.

Harveys will lose out in the long run when more and more fans stop drinking at the AMEX .
The North Stand concourse used to stay open until 8PM, after the Boro home match the stewards were locking up at 7PM, someone said it was earlier at the following home match.

Has anyone asked if the beer ran out in the Fulham end?

Can't they just have a few cans of John Smith's on standby if the Harveys runs out ???

The simple answer is keg bitter as a standby as it has a long life and can be moved from bar to bar to be used before running out of date. At the worst if they had a lot they wanted to shift they could run it as a special at a special price eg £2.50 pint and it would sell even just in the away end. Dont care if they dont come back.

Harveys will not be concerned they supply what is ordered and are brewing at near capacity.

Did you once mention on here that you ran pubs?

I don't know how brewers/ pubs/ bars operate but would a brewery like Harveys do a sale or return on unopened barrels?

I don't imagine you haven't for one second, but have you complained to them (Sod-ex-customers)? Doesn't show them in a very good light if they're ****ing over a charity, which in essence they are.

They may do on Keg beer but unlikely on Real Ale as they have to specifically brighten it up for sale at The Amex. Pubs would not want the beer returned, only in an emergency and if at the right price.

They will be concerned when nobody is drinking at the stadium after the match, yes many fans will be in pubs drinking Harveys but as you know it's not sold in every local pub.
