....as I haven't had one for quite some time.

Immediately post-match in the WSL (North end): not a single veggie pie to be had, making me regret not getting on earlier on in the afternoon, and they ran out of Harveys.

(Yes, I know there are far more important things)

Agree. Worst organised catering I've ever known at a 10,000+ sporting venue. The big positive is that a local ale is on sale (if you're lucky). Dread some corporate jerk improving service and offering smooth beer and british lager.

Did I hear right that they are no longer serving 1901 meals in the East Stand ?? Bloke in the pub was telling me you have to troup round to the West now if you want some 1901 nosher.

Thanks Greens :(
I should imagine they were still in 16 000 gates mode, even though a quick call to the ticket office (or a quick look at NSC) would have told them to expect a near 30 000 gate...

No Harvey's in WSL, middle kiosk, after final whistle. None at WSL north end. Move to North Stand- no frigging Harvey's at any of the bars. Join the line for Dick's Bar, get in after a few minutes, straight to the bar-No Fecking Harvey's apart from their super cold Albion Ale in bottles.

Good to see a professional caterer at work. How did these people get the contract? No wonder the queue for the Brighton bound train was the longest I've seen it for ages. I thought they wanted us to stay and spend money at the club?

It's beginning to look like the club should take control of catering. Erm, maybe not after their handling of things this season. As you were.

That was £40/50 they didn't get from my group on Saturday.

If they took over catering, then they'd tell you that the miserable grey lukewarm burger you have in your hand with the cold dry bun and unmelted Dairylea slice is in fact a prime matured gourmet fillet steak with a rich red wine and mushroom sauce, with sautéed potatoes and fresh asparagus, in a Mediterranean balsamic honeysweet drizzle.

It'll still taste like the bottom 3 though.

Credit where it's due-it would seem that the club is well coordinated in its attempt to feck up on every level this season:amex::tantrum::albion2::tantrum:. Who knew that the pre-season parking fiasco would be the highlight of the season?

I guess the club were catering for the usual 16,000 crowd when an unexpected 28,000 turned up. I had a very fine pint of Harveys in the North Stand after the game but would agree that the queue for the station was longer than for a very long time. I still made it home in time for Strictly though...

I left seconds before the final whistle and jogged to the station. Got the 17.08 to Brighton and the 17.23 along the coast, in the local by 17.40.

Clockwork.

You would had to have left at least 5 mins before end of the final whistle to get from WSU to the station for that time. You even beat me as i caught the next train after that and i'm closer than you(north)
That makes you an early leaver

If you'd said, I'd have ordered a chicken & ham one, eaten the meat, & left you with the leeks. Sometimes you need to think outside the box a little.

Oh so you're one of the utter cocks that run out of the stadium, sad ****ers the lot of you, one bloke when flying when he tried to run through me on Saturday but looked quite pitiful looking up at me from the floor when he realised it was like trying to run through a wall.

Lewes queue was ok, left after the final whistle and easily made the 17.12 (no running or pushing necessary). Pie before the game was fine (crispy crust, piping hot and generously filled), kiosk queue was very small at 2.15. It's not all bad.....

The two guys in the pop up beer kiosk were down to one in WSL resulting in first monster queues of season...In all likelihood the away section going from 200 to 3,000 has moved the staff, pies & beer southwards, throwing the rest of ground back into disarray

I paid for 9 pints of Harveys. But had to pay for 4, then 4 more and then 1. What the **** is all that about?

Got 4 pints before the clowns ran out and had to get my money back.

I usually stay for a couple of pints and a snack after the game, but this week they opened half the bar at the south end of WSL and then promptly shut that after 15 minutes. I understand this is due to staff costs etc but the queue at the middle kiosk was ridiculous for after the game. So instead of hanging around we got the train and spent our money in the pub!

I've completely given up with catering after 2 guys serving couldn't work out between them how to make a weak coffee.

What struck me as crazy was pulling down the shutters on the WSL bar while there were still customers being served. It was 6.00 pm and there were lots of people still milling around, socialising and drinking in the concourse area. Any sensible bar manager would have seen more potential sales, not just staff who want to go home.

We inevitably saw what was happening as simply an invitation to wander off for more drinks in Brighton.
