Just received an email from our home insurer to advise of bad weather and things we can do to limit damage along with a contact number if we need to claim. They must be expecting the worst

I've just had an email from Tesco about my home delivery. Owing to weather-related problems at their distribution centre, they may have to substitute my chicken fillets with a spicy German sausage. Not a lot I can do except hope for the breast but expect the wurst.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Was living Oop North (Cheshire) on that night and woke to see my Bin had been toppled over and one of the interwoven panels on the fence had lifted about 18 inches.

Oh the Humanity... [emoji38]ol:
I was living in Hull. There was a slight breeze. I couldn't understand what the problem was.

It's incredibly calm with sunshine and blue skies in the back garden at the moment. What time is kick off ?

Yes, it's so nice that I've just been out to give my lawns their second cut of the year. At least it will weigh down our brown bin.

We're on first name terms with our insurers at the moment due to mains water leak where it comes into the house. Kitchen floor and units are all being replaced.

If anyone wants to track the wind speeds, this is a great site.

Cross checking the weather reports for Worthing it looks like it is not going to be quite as bad as predicted yesterday, still a couple of hours of 74mph gusts though.

Such a pain when that happens, water is a nightmare along with the inconvenience.
Hopefully we all escape relatively untouched tomorrow fingers crossed

Love storms although I slept through the great storm woke to something that resembled a scene from the walking dead.

'Storm Woke'. You should patent that and sell it to GBeebies.
