Record breaking

A wind gust of 122mph at the Needles on the Isle of Wight is provisionally the highest gust ever recorded in England, the Met Office says.

Provisional only, until the results of Herr Tubthumper’s real ale and curry night in Lewes this evening are in

Haha....just had that chat with my mum.

'Bin has blown over three times....neighbours have rescued it for me'
'Why don't you just put it in the garage (which is literally right next to where it keeps getting blown away from) ?
'Oh yeah, good idea'

:shootself

Our recycling wasn't collected at the last cycle, so today's planned collection is a month's worth.

I suspect that one operative in the refuse depot may've caught the awful Omicron variant, enabling widespread lay-ins and daytime TV watching.

So people put their bins out anyway, desperate not to miss a random collection .... there's literally no pattern for our road.

My Grandson is working at Lyons Farm Sainsburys and he said the ceiling at the front of the store has collapsed.
He's just got back from work and the ceiling that's come down is in the foyer and they are now letting people in via the side entrance.

Speaking far too early probably, but the last 30 mins it appears to have died off slightly.

It's started to rain and the sun has come out.

Its kind of coming in waves here in Worthing.....it eases back a bit for a minute or two then increases again.
