a neighbours flat was damaged by fire yesterday, and only the swift response from the fire brigade stopped it spreading even further.

the ambulance, police and council staff all helped and comforted the woman through the ordeal, and even arranged transport to temporary accomodation, pending assesment of the damage.

god bless the 999, and smoke alarms!
