This next draw could be season-defining.
And at 37 points, we'd probably just about be safe from relegation.I ran a "will we break the draw record?" during at least one of those seasons.
The record in a 38-game Premier League season is 17, so we'd need to pick up 8 draws in the remaining 18 games to break it.
Lots to ponder, including the big question: has it been 95 pts gained, or 190 points lost?We have been the draw kings ever since being promoted to the PL. Here is our record of draws and ranking for each season:
2017/18 13 2nd=
2018/19 9 2nd=
2019/20 14 1st=
2020/21 14 1st
2021/22 15 1st=
2022/23 8 9th=
2023/24 12 1st
2024/25 10 1st so far
That is one hell of an impressive record - in the top two in 7 out of 8 seasons! But why do we draw games more than anyone else? Discuss.
It's like we play at the level of our opponent, regardless of who they are. Three draws against the teams 2nd and 3rd, and three against the teams in the relegation zone. We are hard to beat? It's like we play at the level of our opponent, regardless of who they are. Three draws against the teams 2nd and 3rd, and three against the teams in the relegation zone. But can't quite put my finger on why.

Yes - I agree. But that doesn't explain KG's point about us lowering our levels when we play teams in the relegation zone.We are hard to beat?
