Is there still a ST waiting list? If so, presumably the shortfall will be made up by those who have not been able to get one before, but are on the list? So, while renewal numbers of those in the 90s might be impressive and – quite rightly – something to shout about, in reality if the same amount of STs end up getting sold, then it makes no difference?
No, the remaining season tickets will be sold to successive tiers of members and non members — not unlike away games

New season ticket sale dates to note:
  • 19 March: Sale open to MyAlbion+ Members (Members will be emailed their specific sale window).
  • 26 March: Subject to availability sales open to those with purchase history (Supporters entitled to buy will be emailed their specific sale window).
  • 28 March: Subject to availability, general sale opens

The renewal rate ‘matters’ insofar as it is the ONLY reliable measure of customer satisfaction.

The STH base does have a lot of OAPs in it, plus a good number of late middle aged folk who've had a rackety lifestyle.
So you'd expect a fair few just can't make it any more.
That's me. I'm still going to be a member and get to occasional games but old age has caught up with me.
Thankfully, we're on tv quite a bit, so I'll keep cheering them on.

93% is still decent but the reduction in rate is understandable given difficult economic conditions and the continuing post-Covid travel issues.

Rather than be snarky about the rate I’d have to wonder what it would have been without both the direct debit and funded travel schemes. A lot lower I reckon, so hats off to the club for continuing to offer both.
This! If monthly interest free installs went I suspect there could be a big drop off in the current economic climate.

Including swathes of ESL and WSL ST hogs who rarely turn up and can't be arsed to use the Exchange  .

Hopefully the club's clampdown deals with this.
Which, presumably, is now happening. I’m pleased to say that in my bit of the West Upper it’s pretty much all bums on seats every game. Loyal and dedicated bunch aren’t we. :lolol:

My mojo has never been higher but I’ll tell you why, I’m in my late fifties and I would have given up long ago on cold evenings, spending a fortune standing on shit trains from the North East, let alone, not to mention 72 hours in a foreign city with about half hours sleep in between!
However my son has turned 16 this week and one thing I have got right as a father is he is absolutely Albion mad, Has to go to as many aways as possible, goes when it’s pissing down and INSISTS on staying till the end (even when 7-0 down) and for some unfathomable reason wants to do it with me as opposed to his mates.

I’m not complaining
Mine's 18, otherwise I could have written exactly the same thing! Yes, we stayed to the end of the 7-0 too (He. Would. Not. Leave.)

I am not too surprised at this and detect a slight tailing off in interest. Many matches now are played in front of , I would estimate, more than a 1000 empty seats. Obviously there always be "good" reasons why a ST holder cannot go, but a couple of years ago, so many empty seats on a regular basis would not have been seen. Transport? Same old, same old? Disillusioned with the PL? Or just plain coincidence?
I would imagine it’s a case of use it or lose it. As has been stated before many of the empty seats belong to ST holders who do not turn up and do not put their tickets on the exchange. I cannot imagine that fans are giving up their STs because of travel issues (same as it ever was) or giving up because they don’t like the Premier League, which is nonsense as we have never been so successful in our history - it’s what we have strived for for decades.

Probably the real reason is personal circumstances dictating the ability to be able to watch the majority of games.

Ex sth here. Could really only make Saturday at 3 to be honest, and as an aging dodderer the travel became too hard. And I miss POTG…..all the tickets on phones and technofaff (though I am capable of it) well, can’t be bothered with it. So I prefer to stroll up to a local game, pay my cash, watch the game. Plus, the Albion are on the telly every week and up to 3 times a week when R de Z was there!

With a season ticket in the North you get to watch the best league in the world for around £30 a match.

The quality of the football we’re able to see now is amazing….ok, there are the occasional “duds” (Everton comes immediately to mind), but most home games this season have been exceptionally entertaining.

From my position in the North I’ve seen at close quarters some iconic moments - the last minute winner against United, Pedro’s 98th minute penalty last week, and Danny’s winner against Bournemouth as it rolled tantalisingly onto the the inside of the post and over the line!

I keep telling myself these are BHAFC’s finest hours, and I’m going to do my damnedest to make sure I’m there to witness as many such moments as possible.

Did you witness Pedro's winner against Marseille from there too?

How long before NS Seats get rebranded as Ringside Seats and repriced accordingly?
