It's a shame, because dance music is so shit now I HAVE to delve back into the early 00's and the 90's to listen to anything decent.

Quite a lot of good stuff coming out recently, the terrible years were about 2002-6. Commercials still unlistenable but the tech-y side has started to pick up again.

So who else used to go to Dance Day at The Essential Music Festival in Stanmer Park then? Marvellous scenes. Marvellous sounds. Marvellous times.

I like some of the funky/disco house stuff, but most of it is commercial crap that I hear.

I couldn't possibly pick a favourite track from this genre in the 90's. There is too much good stuff to choose from!

What a load of rubbish. Loads of great tunes being put out. Why do people always insist on this nostalgia crap?

However I hit 18 in 1990 so I have a very big soft spot for that era too. Have gigabytes worth of the stuff on my hard drive:thumbsup:

One of my alltime favourites is Edge1 - Compounded

YouTube - Dj edge The compounded

justice
erol alkan

boys noize
marco bailey
sebastiAN

to name but a few.....

Agreed.

This week I am also loving DUBSTEP.
Thing is though, it's all opinions isn't it. I just don't do the club scene very much anymore (I'm getting old now !) and when I do I just don't think it compares to the 90's.
I did the hardcore rave thing ( Sterns, Fusion etc) I did the House & Garage thing but quite rightly things change.
I just can't get into the modern stuff like I used to.
SHIT I am OLD :D
