Yes, thanks. And thanks for replying in this way simply because it was me who said it. Well done.

It's just that, well, it really isn't that interesting really. 900 or 1300, who cares?

Wahay - Simster has his own stalker.
He used to prowl around looking for MoH's posts, I'm not quite sure why. He does it to me now. Soon he'll get bored and move onto you - preying on any perceived weakness, you'll have to explain your point of view really s l o w l y in order to correct his tedious put-down attempts.

all of it.

absolute bollocks!
its not actually , the east end starts at the edge of the city ,and finishes at mile end, upton park is a couple of miles further on than that, people in canning town/plaistow/stratford/barking/hornchurch might like to say they are east enders , tha fact of the matter is that they aren't , simple.

what part of "the grounds not even in the east end for f*** sake, its a myth." are you having difficulty with ?

Um... If you draw a line down the centre of London, I'd have to say that Upton Park would definately be on the east side of that line... (by about 7 miles) ??

If we're being that picky then I'd say the East End starts in what is the *middle* of the City these days. The Bow Bells are on Cheapside aren't they?

With respect I would take Bushy's views as spot on here. I am certain that he has been chased down most of the streets around the Boleyn Ground and thus is aware of the geographical subtlety's.

aldgate is the start of the east end or the city. Mile End is a mile from Aldgate. its all really simple. nothing has changed.

the bow bells thing is the definition of a cockney, not eastender, referring to a redident of the City of London pre industrial revolution. The bow bells have never been able to have been heard from Aldgate, Whitechapel, etc etc.
