Uncle Buck was superb! and Ferris...........was quality.

But Aliens is the best 80's films, ahead of its time.

And who says the 80s was just a time of big hair and shite music?
Trading Places, classic call. Trains, Planes and Automobiles must also get an honourable mention. On a different tangent altogether is Highlander - There can be only one!

all absolute gems, my personal faves include The might Back 2 Future trilogy . . . how many hours of my youth were spent watching those!! Indianna Jones trilogy .. another legendary series that consumed a large proportion of my earlier years.

Ferris beuller . . legend . . . first time i saw this i was . . ironically. . faking ilness to get off goig to school! oh how i laughed .

Surely an honourable mention must go to Brewster's Millions !

LOL at that quote Wez. Yeah tinx, the Highlander sountrack makes that film 'One Year of Love(is better than a lifetime alone)' when he's drinking bourbon in the bar, and 'Who Wants to Live Forever' when Heather is an old woman but he's still young.
