OH MY GOD MY EMOTIONS HAVE BEEN DOING THE HELTER SKELTER.

Seeing others not getting their ticket yesterday & some checking their bookings, I did the same & found a problem with my booking, in that I didn’t have one. Not sure how on earth that happened, I was Tier 1 & logged on 2pm last Wednesday & bought 2 tickets. No idea what went wrong but the booking didn’t go through. I should have realised because I didn’t get the booking email & no debit on credit card, but being busy I didn’t. I’ve bought away tickets dozens of times so can do it eyes closed, but hell something didn’t work.

So 9am this morning on the phone to club. They could see I was logged in at 2pm last Wednesday but no booking.

I was resigned to not going. I cancelled hotel as it was free cancellation by 2pm today. I cancelled my City Lights Tour. I was absolutely devastated. The club said unlikely to be anymore cancellations and anyhow Rome police wanted names & details by 5pm yesterday so not even sure I could be added if a ticket did come up.

Low & behold 2 did this afternoon & club reserved me 2, pending me phoning up to pay.

I have my ticket.

Hotel rebooked.

City Lights back on.

I’m now shaking. I’ve really gone through the wringer over last few hours. But all good in the end so just relax.

If you are in Rome, ticketless and want to go to game I know local BHA fan with 2 tix in hospitality, so not cheap but would do deal to give to BHA fans chance as opposed to Roma. PM if interested, they can be emailed.

For the first three European away trips, the only ID checks that we had were on picking up our tickets. Our group was not ID’d at any of the stadia. With there being no ticket collection in Rome, is the expectation that there will be thorough ID checking at the stadium?

The reports I've read from recent visitors - Leicester and Celtic - both spoke of multiple checks to get into the ground.
