Or we don't have to exert ourselves as long in matches and can therefore be fresher for our future fixtures (it's a long season after all) giving us a better chance of automatic promotion

It took us 20 odd games last season to win by more than 1 goal, we've done it twice in the first 3 league games this season

Rotherham were still trying to score after our three goals and substitutions. Nikki had to make a fine save to stop a long range effort going in. We had also had a couple of injured players during the game, so it made sense to ease up before we lost a player completely.

I believe the idea is to coast a little and save energy for future challenges. This lessens the chance of injury and is the thing we really need to avoid. Injuries are the real enemy. Keep this lot at the club and fit and with a couple more additions we will go up. BUT just to add Murray will not play like this all season and Knocky is a home player. He is not one to star away from home. Hence the need for another forward.

By my reckoning, we're one of only four teams in the top four divisions not to have conceded a goal yet, sharing that with Port Vale, West Brom and Swansea. Of course the two Premier League sides have only played one match, making us and Port Vale look all the better.
