Bouncing this thread when we’ve shown our character and “bouncebackability”, by returning to winning ways, whilst Palace’s season goes down the pan, will be all the sweeter after the gloating we’ve seen from their fans.
Taking the piss after one bad result, in the third match of the season, when forty-three matches remain, isn’t clever. When we won L2, in 2000-01, we lost three of our first four league games. In fact, starting the season poorly is the norm for us.
Palace fans are in for a shock if they think that Darren Ambrose will sustain the form he showed last night. He was motivated last night because he was playing against the club where he began his career. Why do clubs keep letting him go? Because, one, he’s inconsistent and, two, his injury record is worse than Nicky Forster’s and Glenn Murray’s put together.
