That's the Point - It's to deflect us all away from Westminster!

I want to know if any, of these arrests are in someway linked to Westminster. Also whether they are linked togethee. the amount of people seems significantly high and unusual. We have been informed that there is more so I just can't seem to work out why 660 all at once why not all or less at the same time.

Seems suspicious that they sit on 660 until now.

As the police were targeting people accessing child abuse images online, if they all use the same brief at Pete Townsend, they should be fine!!

No, no, no townsend isnt a nonce , a moderator (hiney) gave me an infraction for calling him one two weeks ago as apparently he was 'never convicted' , never mind that he accepted a caution for accessing child porn , to 'research a book' .

So, here is a classic example why I have no issues with the police or security services monitoring my email, internet or phone traffic. Carry on the good work guys.

Doctors, teachers, scout leaders, care workers and former police officers. Not a politician, judge, clergyman or aristocrat in sight

Interesting though that this is NEARLY the same number (660) as the total number of MP's in the House of Commons..

And there are strong links regarding the Lady Butler-Sloss farrago with the local area particularly Eastbourne. The Rev Roy Cottam who formed the base of many of the allegations which would have been considered was based in Eastbourne for many years.

Around 2000 a short-lived monthly magazine called PIE (short for "People In Eastbourne") was distributed free in the Eastbourne area. It had something of the character of the Victorian "Tit-Bits", local gossip and advice mixed with serious investigatory journalism. One of its supporters has told me it was suppressed by interests in the town who were worried about some of the stories being published. One involved an Eastbourne Councillor who managed to gain ownership of Belle Tout lighthouse for a nominal sum from the Council, got it moved back from the cliff-edge by public subscription and then sold it off, pocketed the money and moved away.

A more notorious case PIE apparently publicised was when they were approached by two brothers resident in the area who claimed that had been the victims of sexual abuse within the Church of England. Although the magazine (I understand) published their allegations nothing was done at that time to investigate their allegations. Instead this "supporter" claims police called at his house demanding to speak to the magazine's Editor. Since this was a "nom-de-plume" apparently he was able to convince them straight-faced that he had never met him.

The case first published by PIE forms the basis for the inquiry which has led I believe to Lady Butler-Sloss standing down...

My County of origin came last, thank God.

However last week whilst on a bus going through South Croydon I saw a rather disturbing prominent advert on the side of a shop for "Pet Grooming"...

Agreed. I do feel sorry for them having to read my shit though. I've probably been responsible for many early retirements, a few lost minds, and possibly even the odd suicide.

I mis-read the thread title as 606 suspected paedophile arrested and wondered if his cellmate would make him wear a football shirt...
