and then the whole bloody programme continued with endless talk about Liverpool, interrupted by one grumpy Norwich fan from the championship (token).

Norwich

7 points in 11 games.

Not sniping , you cant help but see the empty seats , maybe someone could be honest and say there's too many no shows fron ST holders considering the clubs now top of the league???
regards
DR
The % of empty ST seats is broadly 5-7% as a standard across all divisions... it's a fact of life when people have other plans.

Watch any Prem game... see the same.

Maybe a clause where you have to attend 75% of all home games failure results in no renewing of the season ticket the following season ,sure to cause an uproar but there's an element who can "afford" to not go by the looks of things

Can't see that achieves anything except lower attendances, less match day revenue, and as a plus shorter queues at the kiosks [emoji38]ol:

I'll send a doctor's note stating I had a throat infection complete with a temperature if it makes you happier. I did watch us on tv, having put the knitting to one side.

Brighton factually.....
really? and with people still sneaking out early,I'd find that concerning personally

I actually agree with this, I mean it's a midday kick off no rushing for the last train or bus kinda panic required. We went top on merit and could have scored another, I just don't get it 5 to the left of me and another 4 to my right left on 80 minutes it felt like they were leaving a sinking ship.

Maybe someone will come on and explain the large ammount of empty seats at the BHA/QPR game

Towards the end yes, but I thought there were not that many to be fair considering they probably were season ticket holder seats and it is a holiday period when families have other commitments like visiting relatives in far fling places or even hosting etc, etc.

Official and unofficial ticket exchanges can mean that crowd density for a sold out stadium is better than 93-95%.

Key factor is the real demand for tickets. All Amex STHs will have experienced "not being able to give them away" at times - yesterday was not one of those times... Watching it back on Sky last night there is a brilliant bit on the crowd where the camera homes in on a densely packed section of Albion fans (NO empty seats) and then gradually pans out to reveal the full splendour of the West Stand and from the picture it appears completely full...

I traveled from Hove using the Park and Ride took nearly 45minutes on arriving joining the que the wrong end and then sent to the back. However I meet several other fans that had given up season tickets and we're sharing with other Familey members taking it in turns to go to matches. also we have familey friends visiting for the festive period and family's going away so you are always going get a churn of different fans.

Did you have a nice Christmas das?

*imagines*

"Happy Christmas Grandad. We bought you a present with our pocket money"
"Give it here then"
-rips open wrapping-
"Quality Street. Thanks"
"You're welcome. Happy Christmas"
-tear - rustle -
"You don't get hardly any in here these days. Definitely used to get more"
-confused little faces-

"Its just a load of bloody wrappers"

"Mum, can we go home now, please?"

"What's this new one? I don't like it. Where's the one I used to like?"

etc

The club needs to do so much more to encourage season ticket holders to realease thier seats for general sale than offer a limited time in store voucher. Still few games where general sales outnumber seats available. The club over the season gain so much more from supporters committing to ST especially when so many games are changed or Tue night games and supporters struggle to get to. Although I go to 20 out of 23 league games a season on average, I lose out financially on my child ticket as he can only make weekend games. I'm happy to do this as the club benefits finacially plus I upgrade to the max so the club benefit again.

People leave early for a number of reasons. What amazes me are the large number of people that miss minutes 40-50 so they can eat/drink when there really is no excuse. These are usually the first to moan when someone leaves on 89 minutes.

There's a group in my row that, every week, turn up five to ten minutes after kick-off, disappear five minutes before half-time, come back five minutes after and then leave after 85 minutes. They must miss a quarter to a third of every game

I arrived late due to traffic on the M25 (I say traffic, I mean dickheads). I did not nip out early for a half time pint, and consequently joined a queue that got no shorter but stranglely got wider, as 'mates' appeared and pushed in. We did not get a pint at half time. We left at 85 minutes so we could gt to the shops to buy my 91 year old great aunt a replacement set of headphones for her hearing aid.

Frankly, I have two season tickets at the Amex so I and a companion can watch as much of my team as my time and lifestyle humanly allow. I live 85 miles from Brighton. I will arrive and leave whenever I want. The idea of having some sort of Obergruppenführer monitoring my seat and counting the amount of time it is being warmed by my arse (and to what temperature) is ludicrous.
