f*** me , the start date for construction is reliant on all of these being approved. Also , 3 seperate contractors for various projects at the same time
IMO 2010 is very very ambitious
Who do they have to be approved by?
There's no chance of us being there by 2010 anyway. That's no criticism of the albion whatsoever. The problem is that EVERYTHING would have to run perfectly on time in order to get us in there by 2010, and with a project of this size that simply won't happen.
They are all non contentious so stop shit stirring
Bollocks
just repeating what was told
Yes bollocks as they are all just part of the process and will sail trrough - formalities
What do the six planning applications relate to exactly? And presumably it's a formality and just a case of going through the motions.

Martin Perry has all the relevant experience and knowledge required to pull this off and has a very good team behind him!
What did you bloody expect? Did you not know there were more applications to come?
most of the Falmer residents are behind the project now so no worries there!
3 contractors is a good idea rather than a single contractor getting overstretched and falling behind.
NOT ambitious at all Martin Perry has all the relevant experience and knowledge required to pull this off and has a very good team behind him!
Shame you couldn't be a bit more positive and get behind the opening date of July 2010 :thud:
you nob
of course i didnt know , thats why i attended tonight
as for 3 contractors being a positive , nice spin , but MP said it was a negative
this is a discussion forum , raising issues is what its for
Take the new Wembley stadium 1 CONTRACTOR years late millions over budget
New Emirates stadium 4 contractors built a year ahead of schedule meant the old Highbury site could be sold earlier for more in the bank profit and the new stadium come in under budget as well.
Huddersfield 2 contractors under budget 3 months ahead of schedule.
Not spin at all facts speak for themselves
Construction Business News from Contract Journal UK
lets hope so , lot of work to be done , many ups and downs assured in months ahead
Just don't let a bloody Australian company near the site
Yep it is a lot of work but it's not a massive 60,000 seater the 3 contractors will be in seperate areas so won't get in each others way and after seeing the way the Emirates was built i believe it's a good thing
