I will let you have this if you can explain to me the concept of 10. I understand +10 and -10 but not simply 10 with no sign :wink:

So if we have 100 - 10 + 10 you understand the -10, and you understand the +10, but you have no idea what the 100 is :wink:

Eh ? I thought it was 1 - although i know ive fell into a trap or whatever. Just added it into a calculator and its the same too - really confused.

It's because of BODMAS - maths has a specific order in which things have to be done, so that there can only ever be one correct answer (otherwise the same equation having different answers would make computers/planes/everything impossible). Order of operations - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As there are no brackets or powers, in this example you have to divide and multiply everything that is immediately next to a x or / first. So that means doing 1x0 = 0, and 2/2=1. Then you just have addition and subtraction to do, which means the whole thing is 6-0+1=7.
