i love visiting new grounds myself. so palace away, as weird as it may sound, would be a highlight, yes. can't beat pompey and sunderland away on cold tuesday nights in december. had the full 3000 at pompey for that league cup game.

we took over 3000 to doncaster in the 4th round of the fa cup last year and had 6000 at blackburn for an ordinary premier league game last february at 25 quid a ticket. and could have sold 10,000 at ewood park the other week for the league cup semi.

so i could see us selling over 3000 at palace with reasonable pricing given that it's a round further on than donny away was, a new ground for some and a saturday 3 o'clock kick off (hopefully).

Fair play! Although it was the League Cup and on TV, Man City brought about 1,800 to Selhurst earlier in the season. Considering all their recently signed superstars, I expected more than that!

Reckon you'd play your strongest side? This is all if we beat Wolves of course, which we wont.

Eh? We took about 2,000 to Villa away when we were rock bottom in the Prem last time round, certainly wasn't our cup final either.

Brighton fans did make a hell of a lot of effort and the team did very well also, I'll give you that.

no you bloody didnt, :nono::nono::nono::nono:

3000 villa
let brighton take up the other 4000.
Hate palace muppets - no show palace.
Walked through your mob at brighton v palace
all kids and a few muppets bowed their heads.
Absolute joke outfit.

Another quality first post. You'll be a fantastic addition to this site.

yeah, i'd have expected them to take more than that given that very reason about the recently signed stars, like you say.

i don't think we'd be far off a fully strong XI. obviously it would offer a good chance for o'neill to rest gabby once more as he's looking like he may have burned out half way through the season again, and it gives us a chance to play young delfouneso up top. as well as carew who, whilst injured currently, hadn't been on form in the league previously so he might get a chance. then there's reo-coker who could come in and given he and sidwell formed a very good partnership in the peace cup during the summer, they might be our two central midfielders.

and even if we started with a slightly weakened team, which we are bound to, we'd still have the 'big name' players on the bench who i'm sure would feature at some point.

o'neill seems to like playing ashley young in the fa and league cup games as he doesn't seem to tire or injure (forgetting the constant feigning :p) so i'm sure you'd get to see him.

for me, it seems like the fans are more interested in silverware, something we've been starved of in recent times, rather than the league. and i may be getting carried away; something easily done after last wednesday, but i feel like i don't care what happens in the league right now. though i imagine that'll wear off soon and i'll be brought back down to earth by inevitable losses to arsenal, spurs and fulham in our coming games.

but currently, i'd love us to play a pretty strong side and try and win it. especially with arsenal, liverpool, and united out.

clearly not good enough authority, then..

all 2950 at £48 + booking fee were sold long before the criteria even got down to season ticket holders, as it always does and as would be expected in such a game.
