and the football we are being treated to now rates with the worst I have seen. I even think the team that survived at Hereford would beat this lot the way they are playing.
Man for man this team has more talent, but the side in that memorable season had far more pride and heart than this lot.
Just think what they went through during that season, not knowing if they had a future or a club. They fought hard for Steve Gritt in very difficult circumstances. This lot need a boot up their arse or we need another Steve Gritt.

Our hoof ball tactics reached a new low in the 2nd half. Instead of hoofing in the general direction of a player, we were hoofing into empty parts of the pitch. If you're going to use useless tactics like that, at least aim for one of our own players.

You must have a short memory. You, like I, must have gone to Gillingham every week, we used to cheer when we had a corner …

This is nothing.

Yes I was a season ticket holder there and that was in the depths, but we knew we had a poor team and the expectaions were lower. But I just can't take all this hoofball and a seemingly lack of idea from obviously more talented players.

I did say this rates with the worst.

I agree and i am fed up using the same old phrase " it could only happen to us" (the Fred Karnos in the 1st minute, the sending off etc).

Also was i dreaming when watching Sky that they said before the penalties that the teams were told before the game that on police instruction if it went to penalties they were to be taken at the Luton end without the spin of a coin. DISGRACE! is that allowed?.

Think yourself lucky. I've got 4 Millwall fans in my office. I might phone in sick next Monday.

dont matter
What i cant understand is that MA has plenty of coaching badges(unlike his 2 assistants) yet all this season the style of football played has been totally different to that we played under him 8/9 years ago. Why?

I think that the 86/7 season was the worst I have experieced.

Believe me, the shower we have now would have thrashed that lot.

I haven't been able to see us much this season due to work, and I have been hearing some very bad reports.

But if we are worse than that first season at Gillingham, and I'd have to take your word for it, then we are truly dire because that was the worst I've ever seen. Never has a team more deserving of the Conference escaped, thanks to the Donny situation.

It isn't - it's awful but it's nothing like as bad as back then, people are exaggerating a fair bit, IMHO. No way then did we have one player half as good as Forster or Birchall or Elphick, for example, and no player this season has undershone, say, Glenn Thomas. But it's any semblance of teamwork or coaching that seems entirely absent.

I think the point made, & I share it, is that this is not the worst team we've ever had but it's actually one of the best squads we've had for many years so why are they playing such crap football?

The bunch that nearly took us out of the league could do little else, they were poor. This lot SHOULD be better.

We haven't played this badly since 94/95 through to 97/98 , back then the players knew they were bottom of the pile professionals but at least made the effort.
