After the departure of Big Sam this week it's got me thinking just how many things have gone wrong since we lifted the World Cup in 1966. It's got so bad it's almost funny, maybe we should try and compile a definitive list of all the f*ck-ups along the way. One incident per posting. My opening gambit:

The Wally With The Brolly.

November 1993, England need a 7 goal swing to Qualify for the 94 world cup but managed to concede against San Marino. Ultimately only winning 7-1 and failing to qualify.

It didn't matter ultimately as Netherlands beat Poland the same night.

Glenn Hoddle's views on the disabled.
Plus Eileen the faith healer. Plus dropping Gazza. Plus being a total c**t to Beckham and ignoring Le Tissier. Plus having to prove he was still more skillful than the players like a spoilt child.....

Basically, Glenn Hoddle.

Of course all this is forgotten now as the idiots on Sky last night were all backing him to take over again. What could possibly go wrong?
