It was a glorious sunny warm evening ..complete contrast to this evenings weather

I was there. Usually stood on east terrace but for some reason I was in the north stand that day.

I loved that season and that team!

Drew with Rochdale 1-1 at The Goldstone in front of nearly 35,000 to get promoted as Runners Up in Div 3 behind Champions Aston Villa.

Was anyone on here there that night?

I was 15 years old and there in a very crowded North Stand knowing without any doubt that I would still be supporting this club in 50 years time.

Yes I was there on the East Terrace. Previously I had been to the away game at Rochdale on the supporters coach. It was all new to me.

We were a very attack minded team playing 4 2 4 and there was plenty of entertainment. The following season was not so good !
