Today is that day I was looking forward to in August and to do it on 22nd February is very good.

Now we can look forward.

The way the bottom three are playing, think 40 points would make you safe this season

With Portsmouth's 10 point deduction, yes.

Pretty impressive that we've hit 50 points by late Febuary, almost guaranteed to be playing championship next season and with a decent run of form in the next couple of months the play offs are a realistic target.

73 - 75 points normally gets you into sixth place and playoffs.

So thats 23 points from 14 games - tough but possible. Lets go for it , should be fun :albion2:

Will more than 20 of the other teams in this league get more than 50 points this season? I don't think so. We're safe!

Reckon it could be as high as 78 this season and best I can see us getting is 76 .. unless we can persuade the FL to give us the run in that Blackpool have (in April)

On NSC for over two decades...
We've never done it before under three points for win.

Nice bit of trivia that. I figured that we must have got close in '91, I just remember that we had a hell of a good run in and the good fortune of the last play-off place being 7th that season.

We did it on 16th March 1985 and 16th March 1991.

HOWEVER... this season it has taken us 32 matches. In 1984/85, it took us 31.

Under two points for a win, we would have had the equivalent of 50 points on 25th February 1978, after 29 matches - or better still 24th February 1979, after just 28 matches.
