Notice also that SC stated he was disappointed that Cardiff couldn't get back into the match.

Radio 5 coverage was very 'balanced' and well researched. The commentaries paid a lot of respect to how Gus wants to play Football and that came across on the radio tonight.
I was impressed that Nigel Adderley knew all the players correct names (apart from Vincelot a few times) and knew the backgrounds of their careers as well.
I really don't understand what people's problem with Steve Claridge is? Anybody would think he did a Glenn Murray to us. Like others have said on this thread allready, Claridge knows his lower league Football and speaks his mind. I actually enjoy listening to someone talking honestly, yeah sometimes you don't want to hear Claridge saying complimentary things about the opposition, but he's only speaking his mind and opinion.
All in all Radio Five did a good game on tonights live game...obviously the result happened matters!
I can kind of see where Pleat is going with his argument as I had a conversation with somebody recently about finding a teaching job where their argument was that by moving to the Midlands their catchment area would grow because they would have all 360 degrees of the compass point to travel and find a position, whereas if they stayed in Brighton the catchment is reduced to 180 degrees as they cannot head anywhere south.
Also to be fair to Pleat he questioned whether we had the ability to sustain being in the Premiership with our crowds, something we currently have no idea about whether or not we will keep these extra fans if we hit a couple of seasons of struggle.
Havnt we all said this ? The more successful Gus is, the more chance that a huge club is going to come calling. Its just a natural reaction from football pundits as well . This is nothing new..i dont think Pleat has 'destroyed Brighton' at all. Just a realistic opinion. ..and most of us know it. Lets just enjoy this amazing start to the season , and know that one day, Gus wont be here !!
Steve Claridge has made a point of watching us a few times, so understood what Brighton's game was all about. From that point of view, he had done his research pretty well.
If it had been his first time, he would probably have talked more along the lines of 'yeah, Brighton weaving some pretty patterns, but not really getting the ball forward...' etc.
Spot on. Case in point were his comments on CMS. He was saying he works hard, fantastic at league one level, but after his flop in the Championship two years ago, he has still to prove himself and that he probably would do so but was't convinced about his ability to play in the Prem yet.Notwithstanding Claridge was exceptionally complimentary towards us, he explained the points he was making and backing up every comment.
Don't get what people's grief is with him - was it because he once said something that wasn't all fawning and gushing? Awww.
Spot on sir...Claridge imo couldn't be more complimentary to the Albion if he tried tonight..still, some posters don't let the facts get in the way of a good vendetta i guess
