Wasn't True Faith a 1980's single, in 1987? (There was a re-release in 1994, but a re-release of a single could be said of many well known singles).

Indeed, was released to promote 'Substance' iirc.

Not my favourite of musical decades but:

'Faster/PCP' - Manic Street Preachers
'Not Alone' - Bernard Butler
'At The River' - Groove Armada
'Regret' - New Order
'The Only Living Boy in New Cross' - Carter USM

Portishead - Glory Box
St Etienne - Only Love Can Break Your Heart
Marmion - Shóneberg
Primal Scream - Loaded (Andy Weatherall Mix)
Dee Patten - Who's the Bad Man

In fact the list I've chosen just reinforces the 90s was great for dance music and electronica but not so much for other stuff. My 80s list was harder to come up with and more eclectic.

My second son was born to that.

The first one slid out to Slide Away by Oasis.

True story.

My second son was born to Truly Sherri by Bearsuit. I told the band and they put an announcement on their website. Just one of the advantages of liking bands with hardly any fans!

Wow. This is VERY difficult to just think of off the top of my head. I'll undoubtedly miss some favourites.

Losing my religion - REM
Creep - Radiohead
November Rain - Guns n Roses (that's 90's, right?)
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley
Common People - Pulp.

Even looking at that list now I don't think thats my top 5, just cant think of a difinitive list right now.

Age of Love - Age of Love
Faithless - Salva Mea
Felix - Don't You Want Me
New Order - World in Motion
Chicane featuring Maire Brennan - Saltwater

Liking your selection :)

Missed this yesterday but those are some fine choices and have inspired me to whack my copy of Age of Love on at full volume (in to my over ear headphones). May I also offer Passion by Gat Decor though I'm not sure what it replaces in my list, just that when I play AOL it often reminds me of that tune for some strange reason.

Thank you to Wilko for your comment.

Regarding: Age of Love - from the 1980's onwards, electronic/trance music has always been 'right up my street', but somehow I missed Age of Love completely, until belatedly discovering it about 20 years after it first came out! Better late than never .. I adore that track so much.
