Based on the players we have I think 5-3-2 is a formation we should consider :

Kuipers - Goal

Lynch, Richards or Loft at LWB

Elphic,Hawkins,Virgo CB

Whing,Hart or El Abd RWB

McLeod, Livermore and Cox Mid

Forster , Murray

Both Whing and Richards look good going forward and hopefully this formation would help this. Robinson to come on with 30 Mins left (so many games I have seen this work)

Not saying this should always be the formation but depending on the opposition worth a look at.

Yes or No ?

Micky only dabbled with 3 center backs last time but stumbled on 4-5-1 with Zamora as the spearhead and Brooker and Hart providing width in attack. Forster used to play as the lone striker when Reading nearly made it back to back to the premiership and can also play wide right. I think we will eventually end up 4-5-1 with Forster and Mcleod supporting Murray from wide.

3 central midfielders would allow Cox a degree of creative freedom as well.
