India lead by 24 with 1 wicket to go. What time is close of play?

6:30

Ideally we take the last wicket at 6:20 so we don't have to bat at all........

If we can get 200 ahead we'll probably win - chasing 200 on a 4th innings pitch is incredibly difficult (India have only done it 6 times in over 500 tests). Whether we can get anything approaching 250 is another question though

Sweepstake on how many wickets we lose before passing their total?

I'm going for THREE

Going to stick my neck out and go for NONE.

But the usual collapse after that.

However, provided we get the standard couple of middle order players making a score we'll still be well in the game.

Southern Rail would like to apologise for the late departure of the 11.10 Jennings Express owing to his place being on the line. Normal service is expected to resume shortly.

Is this the end of Cooks test career? Good to see Ali come in at 3 leaving Root to come in at 4 his natural position. perhaps Ali will move up 1 place for the 5th test match.

I'd say he needs some serious runs to silence the talk of it, at least

Just when it looked as if Root and Stokes were digging in and going to build a decent lead, they go and do that......

Lead of 169 is already something useful to bowl at on a 4th innings pitch. Add another 40-50 (or more) for these last 4 wickets and England are solid favourites.

England scoring at less than 3 an over, but I’m loving this match; it is proper test match cricket.

Lead stretching, India won't be looking forward to chasing 250 on this pitch but it looks likely they will have to.
