Its not the first park of the tackle that was the problem as the ball was 50/50 - It looked like he left his foot in a bit after the the tackle.

I'm sorry but I don't get all the "minor decisions wrong" bit - You always get the odd decisions going against you its part of the game and they do sort of even themselves out. Its the big decisions I want to see right.

West, West, West Sussex.
Possibly unusual, but they are allowed to intervene now apparently. Missed today, but can't believe the Barnes red after seeing it on the BBC. What the f**k.

If the referee got the original decision wrong (which he did) the Barnsley player should have got a straight red for the reaction.

:) How do you know what his reaction was? He was at West Ham.

Have only seen the Barnes one once on TV, but it looked a reasonable decision to me. Flew in with studs up on both feet - a common dismissal offence. The reaction, however, frorm the Burnley player could well have earned him a yellow at least.

Are you talking about Barnes when you say "flew in with studs up on both feet" or the Burnley player, and you say you've seen it? Get your eyes tested.

I don’t have too much of an issue with the fourth official taking action if he sees an incident, my issue is that he did not respond to the incident until he was approached by the Burnley’s Jason Tindall, so he either witnessed it and thought f*** all of it and was influenced by Tindall or didn't see it and was influenced by Tindall, both of which are totally out of order.

Spot on.....Tindall was walking around showing anyone taking interest, what happened. Yes, it was a punch, but preceded by an elbow from the Burnley player. Play was not stopped. Confounded by Tindall giving me the big winks at the end ....haven't we had the same problem from Howe/Tindall last season.....Bournemouth at Withdean.....can't be coincidence surely?

Well I don't c it tht way at all....these 'minor' decisions bit I refer in some ways to going against both sides ....but then there were those tht were so obviously wrong like the tackle on Noone as he was cutting through.....I'm sorry but I hav never witnessed such aninept refereeing performance over 90 odd minutes in all my years

As much as I want/wanted us to win I try and watch games with a balanced view. Maybe its because I bet a lot on footie I try and keep the bias out of it, I actually thought it was a pretty shit match after the sendings off. Every decision is exaggerated 10 times, players are wound up and most of all Burnley were shit. If that was Brighton playing against 9 men I would be doing my nut. Burnley sat back and were playing out time for most of the second half.

I had us down for 2-0 at the start but after 10 mins and 2 players later and on seeing how for the rest of the match all Burnley could manage was crossing in from the right to nobody in the box I still think we could have snatched it.

We defended quite well but a decent team would have ripped us apart. You
