Good news: You can still buy Xmas jumpers that make you look like an unfunny no-mates c**t at the shop.
Bad news: We've found out that the away end for our Tuesday night visit to Fleetwood Town next season is basically a bus shelter.

Sorry to be boring but I suspect it is just confirming Greer's new contract.

Dunk more likely to be in the running for a new contract rather than Greer I believe.

After the weekend's display, quite frankly, I don't give a toss. It's most unlikely to be anything to do with strengthening the team and anything else is of no interest at the moment,

Didn't he sign a 4 year contract last season? It would be totally underwhelming to know he'd signed another one. It would be even more underwhelming if it were an "official" announcement of Greer's new contract.

Whatever it is I expect it will be totally underwhelming. It won't be Hyypia being sacked either because there is no way the club would announce that as "good news" even if it would be to some of us.

Dunk's contract was signed in the summer at a time when he hadn't been playing and wasn't attracting any attention from other clubs.

His relatively decent performances, and becoming a regular in the side have put him in a far stronger position. The club need to protect themselves for when other teams come sniffing around in January, and either make him less likely to want to leave, or ensure that if he does do so, a buying club can see for themselves how highly the Albion rate him, and price their offer accordingly.

In the same light, it wont be anything negitive against other clubs like transfer embargos / point deductions. To be honest news bar "Hyppia sacked" i couldnt give a toss about right now. Even if we have signed Wanye Rooney on loan the failure finn would still lose games.
