Yep. No point doing well against the big teams and still getting beaten if you can’t then do it against the worst teams.

If we end up going down, that's why.

Not great, but the fact that we're still 7 clear of the drop zone, should tell you we've picked up a lot of decent points elsewhere.

Fair comment that we need to totally rethink our plan for getting points against teams who drop deep and defend the box

Brighton should sign MC Goldrick. He is exactly the type of player needed up front. Would allow then to transition from defence to attack quicker. He isn't prolific goalscorer but that might not be necessary if you can transition quicker and get midfielders supporting upfield before the opposing side get back into shape defensively.

Points against the bottom 3 are more valuable than points against the top 10.

I am a big Potter fan but he has been caught out against the shit teams so often this season, tonight was absolute shite. No ifs no buts Potter takes the blame for another terrible performance against a shite team. We did not battle and were losing 50/50s and that is unforgivable imo

Yep, didn’t he play for Ipswich and score against us virtually every time we played them? He is much better than Maupay or Connolly who are just not good enough at this level. I have backed Maupay for two seasons now but am starting to think he is Championship level, McGoldrick looked much much better than him tonight

We have ZERO players who can create something against teams who put 9 players behind the ball.

But that’s just clearly totally wrong. Tonight we created absolute golden chances but missed them, again as we did in most of the games against the bottom three.

For some reason we miss our easiest chances against the bottom 3.

Had a hatful of golden chances against Sheff Utd and West Brom

Agree. Makes me laugh people still talk about lack of creativity. We have created enough chances in most games to be well within the top 10 this season. Taking the chances we create has been the problem all bloody season

Absolute nonsense!!

3 points are 3 points regardless who they are against. If the we lose to a bottom 3 team and then they go on the rest of the season and do not pick up any other points and win against the top teams then it’s irrelevant.. we are 7 points clear so suggests we have done better over 32 games , it’s as simple as that.

Note : I’m a bit pissed

According to the BBC we’ve played 25 premier league games against teams in the relegation zone and won only 4 - the lowest win rate in the competition. This isn’t a new thing.
