Team Nas or team Mikey re the KG ban?

I agree with Holding. He knew he was on thin ice having accumulated enough points previously for similar incidents. As a one off it looks like nothing much, but that's not really the point.

Silly boy.

Nas being stupid, Rabada has consistently breached the player code of conduct and deserves the ban

200 partnership :clap2:

Which is England's 100th 200 partnership in test matches - according to CricInfo

Apologies for spamming the forum with that bloody signature btw. Got a new phone and forgot that I had to switch it off.

One NSC demerit point to me (hopefully it's gone now).

Should have got an Omsung, LL...

Buttler needs to be replaced in test cricket.
Not good enough.

From a possible 500 we are looking like we need something special to reach 400.
Just hope that Pope can hang in and get 100+

Definitely Holding. Show passion but do it 10 feet away from the batsman. No need to get right in his face. If a more emotional batsman than Root had been on the receiving end that celebration could have led to a more unsavoury incident/confrontation.

I like Nasser but he is wrong on this occasion.

I wonder what the lowest not out day one total is? Run rate is abysmal.

The snooze fest continues 97-1 46.3 overs

Nonsense. Perfectly decent batting approaching, on the first morning of a Test. The pitch is slow, and England have the best of it. The conditions are boiling, and the intention will be to bat and bat as long as possible, to grind the bowlers down. England will want to bat just once in this match.

(I'm sure you'll both enjoy 'The Hundred', though  )

Love this from the BBC commentary.

This whole bat sensibly, build a platform, tire the bowlers out and then kick on could really catch on.

Fancy.
