How many STHs would renew if they paid the same per game as people who buy tickets on a game by game basis?

Not many I would imagine!

Err, ALL your tickets are cut price... that's why you buy a season ticket. Not "to keep the club afloat" in the summer.

Me for one. :)

Well, if DD is representative of the majority of STHs, the club are missing a BIG trick here and should change the policy for next year if they want to maximise revenue. I suggest they send out a questionnaire out to STHs, suggesting this for next year.

To be honest, I buy a season ticket because it's convenient not to have to bother getting my arse into gear and do a transaction every time there's a home game. It was also useful to have one in the days when Withdean sold out and there was a chance of not being able to get a ticket before they'd all gone.

But when we have a stadium with a capacity of 22,500, and a more customer-friendly on-line booking system, it's quite likely that I'll revert to how it used to be in the pre-Withdean days. Decide on a Saturday morning how many of us are going - and make the purchase on the day.

I could never see the point of season tickets at the Goldstone and I'm hard pushed to see the point of them at Falmer.

Unless, of course, there's a serious risk of not being able to make an easy purchase on the day.

I think i'm virtually right in thinking that if you pay the early bird prices BEFORE the end of March or April, then those people are the only ones getting a cheaper ticket... buying a ST after the cut off date more or less works out to be around the same price as a match by match ticket anyway... or up to a maximum of £2 off?

We weren't given ticket stubs at Torquay today. I have my ticket stub from Cheltenham and the replay at Withdean but how could I prove I went to Torquay? I hope if we get a good away draw the club takes this into account.

Why would the Club take into account who went to Torquay and who didn't? As stated earlier, the new policy is STHs get priority. If demand outstrips supply, tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis among STHs, nothing more nothing less.

I spend hundreds of pounds going to away games. ( I wont go to the Withdean no atmosphere!! )I used to be able to claim that I could not get a ticket at Withdean
I should get a ticket before all those old sods who only spend their money on season tickets. I spend all my money following the Albion away, so it is an away game so I should get a ticket first!!.

Disagree. The club see none of that money, I think (as a non ST holder) that ST's should get priorty. They stump up the cash before and deserve something back for that.

Oooh, the rumblings have started and the draw hasn't even been made yet. I hope we get Hereford away. Then lets see how many dedicated, deserving season tickets holders use their privileges :tumble:

But justice will never be done. You are all just natural whingers so there will always be something to moan about. If you get the tickets you are allocated you'll moan that you couldn't get one for little Timmy and by god as a season ticket holder it is your right to buy one for him. And if you can get one for him you'll moan about some other inherently boring subject which you think you deserve as the life blood of the club et cetera, et cetera.

I bought one of those soppy arse lottery tickets at Torquay purely to prove I was there because there were no tickets at plain moor as they are so desperate for cash. figure that one out then.
