His 51st in Test cricket, with 29 hundreds.

His 6th fastest in Test cricket, 3 of those have been in this series.

England 100-0 (28.3 overs), trailing by 3 runs.

Their first in the 18 innings they have opened together.

England 106-0 (30.3 overs), leading by 3 :clap2:

Impressive effort from Captain Cook 57* and Alex Hales 44*, still a long way to go, with all four results possible.

That meant a lot to Hales. He can sleep better tonight. Cement his place from now on??

Fascinating game ahead now, proper test cricket. Loving it.
If it's proper test cricket, then both teams will run out of time for a win.

Boring Test Cricket, lets forget about it and just play 20/20... :dunce:

Clearly not a purist.
Thank God you weren't around to watch Bailey, Boycs, Barrington or Tavare grinding it out. Or R G Nadkhani ( 32 - 27 - 5 - 0 ) including 131 successive dot balls v England in 1964.

As a young man that was my ideal day sat in front of the TV on BBC watching the full days play havinga break for drinks or food when they did. As regards this test I will be happy if we are still in bat at 5.30 today which means we will have a possible winning total on the board and a day plus to bowl them out.
