I was unaware it was a reply to a question, I was led to believe it was a stand alone announcement by the club on twitter not a reply to a question by another user

i bet we lost money on saturday against newcastle

Quite how do you work that one out? We would have taken more money with everyone paying full price (not discounted st prices) with a 80% full crowd than a full discounted crowd. As a club has been we may be losing money ,allegedly, but on a one off cup tie such as that we wouldn't not with the attendance we achieved.

The annual costs are pretty much fixed, so the more games you play the more money you make.
