So Palace are charging £30 for a bog-standard ticket at Selhurst - delusions of still being in the Premiership eh.
I was wavering on whether to go anyway, being as you get kept behind in the ground for half an hour, then unceremoniously penned in and herded down one street towards the train station (whether you're getting a train or not). Was kept hanging around for another 30-40 minutes in the streets while everyone was forced to that one station. Regardless of the result that day, that’s not my idea of a good away trip.

Shove it where the sun don't shine Jordan, you greasy spiv. I'll save the cash and go to a decent ground instead, maybe Coventry or Wolves. At least its semi-civilised there.

All very good sentiment but this is Palace away and a chance to get revenge over last time. If we beat them then it will be the best £30 spent all season.

The organisation at Palace is dreadful.

I had to wait an hour on the phone for a ticket for the Inter Milan firendly, then having bought a ticket in the away end I was forced to sit near some of the scum, kind of defeating the point of buying in the away end, and in some areas they had double booked tickets, meaning people weren't seated til after kick off.

After the match, people were trying to leave via one of the roads when they suddenly said that road was closed when they were still letting a few people through, the liars.

And I don't know why they do that with the trains, there's 3 stations you can walk to, Selhurst, Thornton Heath or Norwood Junction

1 down 1,999 to go and we have no Brighton fans attending.

Is this game on telly?

I'm wavering on it too. £30 is way absolutely taking the piss, not to mention the ticketing system that gives anyone who cannot apply by post TODAY pretty much f*** all chance of getting one.

Having said that, given said ticketing situation there is no time to think about it, so if you're in doubt you could just apply anyway and sell your ticket later, i'm sure there will be a few takers.

I'd like to write a strongly-worded letter to Simon Jordan and the FA. How the f*** can your ordinary bloke justify/manage to spend £30 on a ticket? Sadly i'm too slack to get off my arse and put pen to paper.

Agree with YOUR sentiment.
However, the shit you have to go through in the aftermath of the match was already putting me off. The fact that you'll be getting ripped off into the "bargain" as well has just about swung it for me. Away games are not just about the match for me - its the experience before and after the game as well.

Croydon is an armpit, and the thought of once again benig detained in that shit-hole is a price not worth paying IMHO. There are plenty of far better trips on the calender I'd rather spend the cash on.

Me too, went left out of selhurst to where the car was parked and coppers were great in letting us through. Once through though did come across a bunch of chavs effing and blinding cos they couldn't get to the Brighton fans for a ruck. Twats.

Banter is all well and good but this benile, neanderthal attitude towards the game angered me. Has to be said it is on both sides that this happened and I was disappointed, particularly as I had mentioned to the people I was with how much of a good laugh the away support fans were.

You know I love you Yorkie so it is difficult to phrase this correctly, but I'll try....

You're probably not of a demographic group that is likely to experience trouble, in all honesty.

Isn't that expected? Do you stay with other friends and they give you trouble?!?

STOP Moaning

If you cant be bothered to go and support your team against our arch rivals that is fair enough but to moan and give excuses why you cant go that is really winding me up.
So £30 is a bit steep but would you be going if it was £20?
So for the sake of a tenner everyone is saying that they wont go...do me a favour it is just a good excuse.
