3 Months Since we Scored more than One Goal and Won

Whilst I appreciate that we have had more than our fare share of injuries ands the club have tried to address our lack of goal scoring capability, the simple fact is that it is now three months since we scored more than one goal in a league match and won. Yet we do create chances but fail to take our opportunites or make the wrong choices. I was really disappointed in Linguard today who having found himself away with a one on one held the ball up, lost the momentum and took the easy option. Where are our goals going to come from?

Should have got Wickham during the Bridcutt deal for the rest of the season, other than that it is generally the ref's fault you cannot score!

We were rubbish today and Reading were much more up for the game than us. Blaming the officials is easy and the Greer sending off was very harsh IMO but we deserved nothing from the game so a point is a good return. We seem to be going backwards at the moment.

Brighton are a very very boring team to follow despite position. It's really dull stuff most of the time. Most of the time. We just can't test a keeper let alone score. Which is worrying but hey, nothin new for 3 seasons now so kinda of used to. You can bet your bottom dollar that when we do eventually start scoring lots of goals on say 10years time that we'll start conceding as many at the same time. Tis the Albion way.

Spot on,possesion in our own half and few shots on goal is not going to provide three points, home or away, but at least it will give us a top half position in the Championship.

It is noticeable that we try to set the ball up to strike and taking to long over it and then lose it.

Reading were peppering our goal all the time. Thank god for TK.

We didn't score one goal today and only had one shot on target.

Save this. You can just repeat most matches, this season and last. Ow and for much of the season before too. Our brand of football is just so dull to watch. Didn't oscar promise lots of attacking? Let's hope so next season when he's had a proper close season to prepare because we are competing with drying paint in the entertainment stakes at the moment.

Whats going on at the moment, too many long balls to Ulloa who is struggling to stand up, but the real difficulty I have is the formation. When a team plays one up top it needs, the midfielders to be mobile and able to support the lone striker. So today we have Ince, the fifth defender, Andrews a holding midfielder, JFC who can push forward but needs to win the ball, Dave the playmaker and Linguard. What happens when we win the ball in midfield, we have nowhere to go and this was most evident today. No pace, no width and no idea in the first half today. The substitutions were evident way before they were made. We are not scoring anywhere near enough goals and after two and a half seasons at the Amex is not becoming evident that playing one up top is not working for us, either under Poyet or Garcia, I am forming the opinion that we are pursuing the wrong ideology for the players that we have at the club.

Makes you wonder how much more of this we are going to have to watch before our management team attempt to set us up a little more positively in our home games. It's getting beyond a joke now. Game after game it's the same and we are crap until we make late substitutions. It just seems that they are thinking, "well it didn't work again this week, let's try it again next week". Time for a change in tactics guys.

So many times we grab the ball in midfield amidst anticipation and optimism, yet lack of apparent width or pace from pursuing midfield often results in disappointment and the reverse pass ending up with P.I.G. for a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOF.

Three wingers on the bench, why? surely you wouldn't intend to use them all?

We have an obvious lack of pace so why not play a winger 1st half, let him cause havoc then use another in the 2nd half to cause another set of problems. Lua Lua, our game changer, was never going to come on today.

Personally, I've had enough of BORING & Hove Albion and want to see at least some of the attacking football Oscar, when he first came here, said that he loves so much and wants his teams to play.

Basically at a similar level to when we first got to the championship in the Amex, but with a lot better level of players.

Will end up ten points short of the play offs.
