3 home games in the next 4 fixtures

We are more than capable of beating Cardiff City and then we have 2 teams currently in the relegation zone. Bristol City and Preston North End, teams which we should beat at home if we have promotion aspirations.

There is a story to every game and although 'That' sending off clearly changed the game yesterday it cost us all 3 points as did the penalty miss last week against Wolves.

We are not trouncing teams by 3/4 goals which is why I thought we were 1 high quality striker away from a great team when the window closed so we need to make sure we cement our home form.

Hopefully that's the case. It's fine margins in a lot of games. We have had two poor away games in terms of putting teams to bed to be honest. A bad penalty and not defending our lead at the end of each half yesterday. It's not a negative, just a reality.

However, in previous seasons, I don't think we would have even drawn a game in which we were playing awfully, and down to ten men. We have to be positive about this result, but as the main thread reads: we've got three homes games out of four games coming up, and we need at least 6 points. Remember, we have never won in October during the AMEX era...

Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely overjoyed at our start to the season. We do have to be very good at home though to make our promotion chances stick. Like you say, October has not been kind to us, lets hope that changes

This is correct he did the same against Fulham and yet against Ipswich we were still playing attacking football even when they pegged us back to 2-2 hence us winning 2-3

Agreed. One pleasing point from yesterdays game though, was that we raced into a two goal lead within the first half hour. And this from a team we had previously thought would struggle to score more than one goal a game, ok we didn't see the game out and secure the win, but none the less good to see.

Also of course, neither of the goals were scored by Tomer Hemed. Maybe we do have more than one regular goalscorer in our ranks?

I too prefer 'flavoursome' but can see why one might want to use 'flavourful' occasionally. "Flavourful soup" for example, is better than "Flavoursome soup".

Yes................................. but..............................

Home advantage doesn't seem to be as prevalent these days - on Saturday, for instance, there wasn't a single home win in the Championship. I know we've only dropped points away so far, but there have been almost as many away wins as home wins in this league this season (and in the PL it's even more marked - 24 home wins and 26 away wins in total so far). Perhaps there is no such thing as a home banker any more.
