There is no way Duffy could play in a back 3.
Lacking in pace, ball control and distributional skill.
He was abysmal when we tried that formation.
Dunk would have to be in the centre.
He is our main man.

Potter might be able to do something akin to what the other gp did with el abd and draw the footballer out

Poyet worked wonders there.
I'm not sure the other GP is capable of an even greater miracle with Duffy.

Not so sure Duffy is the ball winner in the three with Dunk and another being the footballers. I still think Stephens could play in a three, let's be honest he almost played that position under CH.

Perhaps that is why the rumours of interest in Matt Clarke so a back 3 of Clarke- Duffy-Dunk

Almost incredible!!
I suggest that Duffy hasn't the skill set to play in a back 3, and yet you put him in there!!!

I’m sure that naylor posted something that showed he used 4-2-3-1 more last season

Duffy is a good player mate. He'd do alright however you set up the defence. I think we played 1 match with 352? Against Chelsea a couple of years ago? We lost but i don't remember attributing any of those to Shane.

I think Dunk is reasonable, no more. I expect a place in the Wickerman basket awaits.

I believe that he has the ability to be the stopper in the middle with 2 ball players either side
A"Stopper"?
Hidegkuti killed the concept of a Stopper back in 1953.
Ask Billy Wright
Ask Don Revie
Ask......

You’ve not thought this through. If Stephens played centre back he would have to pass it forward

Wow the list of players unable to play in Potty's new system gets ever longer.

Bernie's Inn and that's about it.

Yet those doing the booting out haven't got even the hint of an idea what Potty-Time was and will be like.

Billy Reid quote:
“We’ve always been a possession-based team during the time I’ve worked with Graham, building from the back, hopefully pressing from the front and winning the ball higher up the pitch.

and?

So in your world than means nobody ever wins the ball, Potters teams just keep it for 90 minutes.
TBH that doesn't sound any more fun than watching 11 players defending all game.

Like I said - The know nothings are proving once again they know nothing.
