Shambles by England as well, Umpire never signalled a 4 as it wasn't

That is incredible.

Incredibly bad sportsmanship, but at the same time, awfully bad play from the two batsman.

Sad to see the spirit of Cricket completely die a death today. England would have done the same.

What is wrong with their sportsmanship ?

They followed the rules and observed the umpire whereas Bell didn't.

Sadly it sounds like Bell cocked up...but the attitude of the India players is poor too...sounds like Rauf might have called over, if so then it is a screw-up on so many levels.

The game has just gone from nicely warm to vindaloo!

Umpire had called over according to Bell. He'd handed the jumper back to the bowler as well.

What is wrong with their sportsmanship ?

You seriously don't think it was?

Both batsman obviously assuming the play was over. The majority of the Indians acting as if play was over. The umpire handing back items to the bowler as if play was over, and Dhoni decides to stump. You don't think there is anything in that which is unsporting?

The fielder acted like the ball was dead, deceiving the Batsman into thinking it was done. That seems like poor sportsmanship to me.

There isn't a whistle. But there is an umpire handing back items to the bowler.

You know what I meant and he hands over the jumper after the run out has taken place, to be fair would the english players have reacted differently?

From the worst bit of sportsmanship to the best. Seems India have withdrawn the appeal.
Salute India, well done - cricket is all the better for it. That must have been very tough, it makes a big difference to the game - Bell facing the new ball in 16 overs instead of a new batsman.

Despite being happy that Bell has been allowed to continue, I still think he should be out.
In all fairness, the fielder should have rushed to throw the ball back, and Bell would have waited.

Well done Dhoni as Bell was definitely out and should pay attention to the umpire.
