What is it about England and losing the second test, even though they outclass the opposition? - first the South Africans, now the Windies.

Well played to the West Indies. Making a monunental 322-5 in the fourth innings to complete an historic Test Match victory.

Cricket is the winner... and a decider to come [emoji106]

Congrats to them but there is a worry that we were in such a strong position and yet still lost.
They seem to have adjusted better to English conditions than expected.

We don't win much at Lords!

Makes one proud to be a fan of England.

The funless Aussies would have taken this match too seriously, not declaring until late morning or waiting until their innings had ended. Under the adage winning is everything, second is nowhere, to quote Shanks.

This is the sort of match that's going to met millions of fans including kids back interested in test cricket.

In the West Indies maybe.....

So pleased for the West Indies and the Test result. It has been great for cricket and the dwindling profile of Test matches as a whole.

On the bright side, Australia have just lost to Bangladesh, a team ranked even lower than the Windies. That's going to hurt

Well done WIndies. Also well done to Root for trying to win the game.

Exactly. Fabulous cricket match bought to a thrilling climax through a brave declaration that I hope Root wouldn't hesitate to make again. If Test cricket is going to survive, it needs brave decisions for the benefit of matches, not batting out draws to secure series. This is hopefully a massive positive for the Windies and Test cricket as a whole. We ignore that it is floundering at our peril.
