Lincoln city at the goldstone, what are your memories of that night ? Mine where that arsehole banned me two days later and lost my season ticket, genuinely thought the club was dead

None. I had to look it up. I was probably there but it doesn’t stand out like certain other events in that era - not sure why.

For me that was the night when everything came to ahead , the club looked out on its feet , bannings the place was toxic

Remember it well. Didn't join you brave souls on the pitch though.

Did we have a big protest outside the West Stand after the match?
Only protest outside the West Stand (when the office windows were broken) I remember was Walsall 18th November 95 , 0-3 when somebody threw a traffic cone which it hit me on the head causing me get a little annoyed with the miscreant

Two points that come to mind.

One is that the points deduction (you can guess the rest; something about needing a draw at Hereford or there would have been no club*). The problem is that if you invade the pitch after going one down, someone somewhere will do unwelcome maths.

The other is that the 39 year old Attila looks disconcerningly like a certain N Farage at a dressing up party

*Is there a record anywhere that the move to Gillingham and the buy out by Dick Knight wouldn't have happened without the pitch invasions?

I remember being annoyed at fans going on the pitch after we had conceded. It made it seem like crowd trouble rather than a protest.

I remember a long protest after the Darlington match (Case’s last I think). Huge crowds remained outside after to get to the board. One of the Darlington coaches pleaded with us to move away from the West Stand entrance as they needed to get the players home as it was a long drive.

Remember it very well. I didn’t go on the pitch but as with probably all the actions, I was in support of what those fans were doing.

Thanks.
Remember being outside after an evening match, I think someone had a flare (didn’t see many back then)
The protest was also on the local news, maybe Meridian.

That’s the thing I remember it being planned for a certain minute and just so happened they scored but at that moment football was secondary the club was gone at that moment , there was a meeting in the afternoon with the fa and they did nothing to help

Darlington at home in December 96 was the lowest for me. Not much hope left after that but miracles did happen.

Mansfield was a Saturday afternoon when we came into the East Terrace.
Someone climbed over the wall and opened the gate and we came through, I saw a chap coming out of the toilet after climbing over the wall and falling through the toilet roof…..this was after the gate had been opened :moo:

I didn't support them on this one- especially the one who thought it was okay to kick a female steward.

I was on the Mellor march as well as getting chucked out the FA for filming. I supported the protests fully. But not this one. It wasn't going to achieve anything apart from being possibly relegated by the punishment. We got very lucky after the Leyton Orient incident- which the FA were good about considering. They even looked to see if there had been provocation (SOURCE: David Davies himself)

I remember a lot of the other events. The march through Mellor, the boycotted game, the protests when on TV (Bournemouth and Orient), leaving 15 minutes before the end, Bellotti being chased out the ground etc.
