Its what keeps clubs going:facepalm:

NO FANS NO FOOTBALL:p

Rubbish. Fans are scum. Like sheep they are to be fleeced. If British fans can't be arsed to support their teams then sky will merely cgi them into the background and play recorded noise as it does on highlight programmes. f*** fans, irrelevant bystanders in the modern game. Always whinging. Just shut up cough up and get in line you animal. What the heck do you want for 27 quid?

Sorry, but whether it be Brighton, Peterborough, or the Police who are responsible - it is an utter shambles.

Surely it's pretty simple:

''How many tickets are left?''

"X many''

"Let's sell them on the gate then'' OR ''Let's not sell them on the gate as too many fans may turn up''

No?

I have my ticket, but a mate I know who wants to come is scrambling around for a tic!

Welcome to football 2010. The only industry that can afford to turn customers away. Says it all really.

In a pile of football shirts
some people do not have the luxury of deciding weeks in advance what they will do, so can only confirm on the day if or if not they go.

Please get off your high horse

You could have bought your tickets yesterday, or inperson today, less than 2 days before the game, not weeks.

high horse, really? If you say so, I was merely pointing out the FACTS of the situation, something that some on this thread seem to conveniently ignore, if it helps them to slag off the club.

Jolly good, so you knew the Swindon game with be POTD, and there are those who KNOW the Boro game will be POTD, so what? The point I was making was that there was no need whatseover for anyone to miss out on getting into this game, just by going online, phoning up or going into the shop even up until today and buying a ticket.

People seem to imagine that they can set off on a pub-crawl, drink a pint of Harveys in the Lord Nelson and then expect the guy behind the bar in the Nelson to know whether or not Harvey's is making an appearance in the Basketmakers as a guest beer.

When the bloke in the Nelson says that he's not sure, does he deserve to get abuse?

The Albion is not responsible for decisions taken by Peterborough. Nor do they have a responsibility to guess correctly what those decisions might be.

That said it's not really the fans job to find this information out.

Perhaps you require the club to personally visit every potential ticket purchaser to appraise them of the details. If the Albion haven't been told it's pay on the day then what's the problem. Seems there are a lot who have already decided to go so why don't they get their tickets in advance.

Why? Do you think that the club has done a good job on this? Hope we meet... Going to pick up anyway as meeting with 30 from local pub who are going on train.

Was going early to pick 2 friends without tickets in west london on the way with 2 other with tickets in car. The club has a responsability to inform of what is happening. If we get there and no tickets all hell may break out if 100 ticketless fans outside. What a club not to inform fans either way. Shame brighton ticket office GET your act into gear.

Well if it kicks off then let's hope old plod gets the names and addresses of the 100 so they can get a life ban. At least these ignorant stubborn types won't get into Falmer as they refuse to buy in advance.

Excellent analogy but probably over some people's heads.

If you turn up without a ticket they will let you in so long as the capacity won't be exceeded i.e. total sold in advance plus number already let in without a ticket. If not, go in the home end !

The Albion ticket office are correct in their statement that no tickets will be sold on the day because they will have sent the remainder back. Peterborough wont throw away the chance of taking a few grand extra by not allowing POTG.

I couldn't agree more we are top of the league playing the best football this club has seen for years maybe decades yet people still refuse to buy tickets in advance.
If you get to Peterborough & are turned away you only have yourself to blame.

What a pile of shit. I have only been able to make the decision to go tonight. Why should I be penalised for that?

unfortunately some people can tell you in 3 years time what they will be doing on a certain saturday.

Others due to work or other commitments do not have that "luxury"

and of course those who can plan months ahead think that those of us who cannot decide until the day before are wrong.
