2500 Peterborough tickets sold- pay on the gate

Just spoken to ticket office and tickets are no longer on sale. As far as they are aware this is not going to be pay on the gate. With an allocation of over 4000 and only 2500 sold this is absolutely ridiculous. Especially given that initially it was 900 to sell in advance and the remainder to be purchased on the gate.

I cannot understand the logic in football clubs sometimes. From a business point of view it makes no sense whatsoever. I actually have my ticket already but this still annoys me.

The gentleman in the ticket office did say it might be worth ringing Peterborough ticket office first thing tommorow morning to see whether fans can purchase on the day. So for those interested in going it may be worth a quick phone call. That said it's not really the fans job to find this information out. At 16.45 on a Friday this is something the ticket office should be looking into especially with over 1000 tickets still remaining

Well Insider said there had been over 2500 sold two or three days ago, and someone else said they had spoken to Peterborough today who said tickets would be pay on the gate.

I don't think the ticket office really know the state of play, it's mainly estimates it would seem.

It was in fact TUESDAY that insider said we had sold more than 2500. Must have been a lot of refunds I guess.

what!!

Was going early to pick 2 friends without tickets in west london on the way with 2 other with tickets in car. The club has a responsability to inform of what is happening. If we get there and no tickets all hell may break out if 100 ticketless fans outside. What a club not to inform fans either way. Shame brighton ticket office GET your act into gear. If this is going to happen on regular basic fans are going to be really pissed off. GET IT SORTED TICKET OFFICE, YOU ARE PART OF THE CLUB. SHAMBLES .....

The club have got it sorted, they say they have tickets to sell, and they also say:

"We cannot guarantee that tickets will be sold on the day of the game. I would strongly advise any fan who wishes to travel to purchase in advance."

I think that is pretty clear. The club has, as always, informed the fans of the situation, if the situation changes, they will also inform of it, as they ALWAYS do.

What is wrong with you?

On the 21st the club made it clear that tickets would not be sold on the day.

Today, they clarified, that they could not guarantee tickets would be available.

At no time have they said they would be, regardless of what Pboro have said to individuals on the phone.

Why do you have such a problem, a) understanding what the club have said, and b) buying your tickets in advance to ensure you would have no problems whatsoever on the day?

I really dispair at the attitude of some of our fans, constantly looking for an opening to dig at the club. I guess you are just fishing for a response, are you Hugo, PSB, or some such? Either way, it worked, I have taken the bait, I shall leave you to your delusions that the club are a shambles.

Why? Do you think that the club has done a good job on this? Hope we meet... Going to pick up anyway as meeting with 30 from local pub who are going on train.

mate....the ticket office often say thet no tickets will be available on the Day, I was told by the peterborough office today that tickets are available,

Also check my threads reference the Swindon game...for weeks I posted tickets would be available on the day and for weeks the ticket office denied it.

The office do a good job but its best to contact the away ground, they know the truth about whether its pay on the day.

some people do not have the luxury of deciding weeks in advance what they will do, so can only confirm on the day if or if not they go.

Please get off your high horse

Everyone chill. The remaining balance will be available for fans making last minute decisions to pay on the gate.

SWINDON
Its the same as the swindon game and the same applies yet again at peterborough, the club should just bloody say if tickets are available on the day as many fans don't decide til late.I presume its down to bha making more money on the booking fee's etc, from now on fans should ignore what bha say and ring the home club who certainly know way in advance.

It was 100% certain to be a POTD

At swindon we had nearly 500 people who POTD as thats what many fans like to do:thumbsup:
