Used to get my copy in Chapmans on a Friday night before a match. Can't remember if it was a formal Gulls Eye event but there was a party at the Connaught Suite in Worthing that included the bizarre sight of Bushfire being paraded around the dancefloor in asupermarket cage!

You never fail to mention the fact that you have an iPad Dave.

I Reckon you insert deliberate typos to draw attention to it.

He he....my wife lives on this thing..I only get to use it when she has gone to bed or at work....

As an exile and as it was in the pre Internet era GE was ESSENTIAL reading. I used to subscribe and as soon as it was delivered would devour the contents.

People give Harty stick but he is up there with the very best IMO.

In London village.
Just dug out a few old copies...

"Hove Council meet to debate the planning permission at the Goldstone" (Issue no. 56 December 1992)

"To keep the pressure on the Football Association...we need to take the opportunity of the Fulham away match to mount a visible peaceful protest in Central London" (Issue no.93 Nov. 1996)

"Hereford have, allegedly, sold 3,500 tickets to Albion fans..." (Issue no. 99 April 1997)

A prize should be offered to anyone who finds the edition saying what a welcome addition to the Albion David Bellotti would be...

GE doesn't get the respect it deserves in the wider fanzine circles in the this country. people talk about the old ones that keep going like City Gent and Orientear, but in terms of campaigning, and being the single media for action, GE has an incredible story.

It also blows my mind to think about all the work that went into it. I can't even contemplate it. I was chatting with Soul Finger about how they put the zines together back then and it must've been hours and hours and hours of work, and doing it fortnightly too!

- No email
- no desktop publishing
- no access to digital images
- no file transfers

It blows my mind. Incredible.

Had no idea it was 25 years. We should do something.

Gull's Eye was the best football fanzine in the country. Most humour, most irreverent and extremely provocative to any regime that didn't have the best interests of the club at heart.
