A few genuine questions:
So, we do have to name under 21 players in the squad then?
..... but they don't count towards the maximum of 25?
Can we play other U21s who have not been allocated a squad number, like Cashman or Jenks?
Do U21s included in the squad count towards our required number of HGPs?

The list of squad numbers has nothing to do with the Premier League 25-man squad.

Yes, any player who joins a club as a scholar (or before) will meet the eligibility requirements for HGP status.

Given the talk about trimming the squad, who will be on the move? If Walton is close to fit I’d suspect Ryan is one. Bernardo. Maybe Sanders on loan. A permanent move/solution for Locadia (glue factory?), maybe a mutual contract termination for Izquierdo? Andone out?

Wouldnt be surprised for Ryan to leave but another experienced keeper to join, and maybe Walton to go out on loan again when fit.

Also think we might bring in a left back as Potter obviously doesnt trust Bernardo and Burn can't play there, and sometimes we need to play 4-4-2.

There's no way Gross is going anywhere, he's been heavily involved and played very well so far this season. Without a better replacement I don't see AJ going anywhere, uunless £10m+ offers come in. Bernardo is our only Left footed Left back.

Locadia and possibly Izzy to KFC, Andone to Athletico Gnuthous maybe.

May be true or not but have heard that Propper is keen to go. Ali J needs to go, and Gross may be one of the very few that someone may actually want.
