Rotherham did it in 28 days. We've been given 29 to attempt it.Apparently, it won't be a record, although we probably have jinxed it now.
My statto friend, who works for the Daily Express, says that Rotherham achieved the same feat in February 1982, and Bristol City won eight times in September 1954, though that was in the days of two points for a win. Still amazing, though. It's in paper this morning.
Both of those at 2 points a game, so answer to OP is, we think, yes, a new POINTS record.
Three points for a win was introduced in 1981-82 season.
sounds right BUT now it's been said it won't happen *tsk*
Great achievement! Gives that game more of an edge now!
I heard a stat that the current run is the first time the Albion have won seven league games in a row since 1954, which may not be correct, have we ever won eight?
Rotherham's record was EIGHT league games, each worth THREE points.

Don't believe what you read on Wikipedia. Obviously.
Incidentally, haven't most of those teams that Rotherham played had turbulent times since 1982?
1956 I believe.
still wont get a mention on the football league show....if only it had been the SCC instead
Only a couple of years out then...but the question remains, what is our longest winning streak in league games?
