seagulls.co.uk does say 2322. did look like more. id much rather have 2322 fans altogether next to one another rather than what walsall had, 3500+ all spread out. their stadium is too big for them but i do feel sorry for walsall having all the big midlands clubs around them prob taking a lot of their local fans away from them. although the bescot is now one of my favourite stadiums in the country for obvious reasons. what a day, what a celebration to a fantastic season!

There were gaps down the front of the stand where some flags were laid out, I would however echo your comments about it being a memorable place.

I was there two seasons ago under Slade when we were 3-0 down after 20 minutes, it was probably the closest I have come to walking out. The transformation under Gus is truly astounding.

Sorry to put a downer on it but I think that 2322 is a bit poor for a fixture that would give us the trophy if we won. I seriously thought that after Tuesday there would be a binfest for tickets, but it never happened. Interested in reasons from those who could have gone, but didn't.

I think the away figure is the allocation sold by our ticket office but it doesn't include tickets sold over the phone by the Walsall ticket office to Albion fans and those who paid on the day which have been lumped into the total attendance figure. Looking at the rest of the ground with the home fans in situ it looked like we had nearer to half the gate there.

I think the consensus of comments in relation to this was

1: Cost
2: Promotion is more important than winning the title
3: The season was effectively over
4: More interested in attending the Southampton, HTFC and Notts Co matches.

Wasn't that about the total allocation we received from Walsall? so we couldn't have taken more (in the away ends at least)

I stayed in Walsall last night with relatives and read the local paper this morning which said that we had the biggest away support this season. So not a bad turnout when a lot of clubs are much closer.

there were a lot more than the official figure which is just the number of tickets sold by the Albion. Their stewards reckoned we had over 3000 there

We were given extra blocks in the BiteSize stand (pay on the day and presold tickets from the Walsall ticket office) which meant we had half of the stand down the side as well as behind the goal , I think the original allocation included the stand behind the goal and one block in the BiteSize
