Problem with Sarmiento is that he's yet another of our players whose best position is left wing.

Mitoma, Osman, Adingra, Enciso, then there's also João Pedro, March and Barco who can play there. At least there's not Fati there too anymore.

This. 👆🏻

Behind Mitoma, Enciso, Pedro and Adingra currently and we are being linked with Summerville too!

But the ‘inside winger’ tactics of Hürzeler may benefit him as I believe the wider he gets, the weaker he gets. He could thrive if given a chance but is competing for a position we have astonishing depth in.

However, we start the season with no inverted right wingers with March out until the Autumn (unless Osman adapts to a new league and newish position very, very quickly). This is where the club need to focus on getting someone in along with a right wingback such as Barry Yilmaz.

But we were desperate for a decent left winger after Xmas. Mitoma injured. Osman, who knows if he can step up from the Pub League. Adringa, gets into great positions but flufs his final ball, regularly. Enciso not back to fitness from his injury. Solly - injury prone. Barco delightful. Pedro is pretty ineffective on the wing, we need him up front.

Think Sarmiento needs to be made a key squad player for us personally.

Today, for the 12 time overall, Tom McGill was an unused substitute for Canada as they beat 10-man Peru 1-0 at Copa América.

By my reckoning 8th November 2020 for Crawley against Torquay in their 6-5 FA Cup win. He got knocked unconscious and was subbed off after 65 mins. He never played for Crawley again and was recalled by us in January 2021.

Played 90 minutes in a 3-1 win with a very questionable penalty decision or two.
