Interest rates down by 0.5% - £15 a month cheaper on £100k mortgage. £180 a year for the working person!

Decent assessment by El-Erian:

Yippee, I am so happy that there is nothing to be worried about in Rachel’s budget and there’s me thinking that the expert commentators who expressed concerns may have had a point.
In fact, I am so relieved that I will celebrate with a cup of tea and perhaps two chocolate Hobnobs instead of one!😉😁

To be fair to Block F, although he's a lifelong Tory, he was never a Brexiteer. He's not a complete loon

(No need to thank me BF)
Haha,
I suppose I should be pleased to hear your faint praise.
No, I certainly didn’t vote for Brexit and nor did my wife, who has little or no interest in politics and neither did my now deceased old dad who was 99 at the time of the vote.
Actually, I didn’t even vote Tory in this year’s GE. I have to admit to being ,’a none of the above merchant,’ for the first time in my voting life. Nevertheless, I want the Government to succeed for all our sakes, but I do have misgivings, which I am sure all but the most rabid and blinkered supporters of the present incumbents, will permit me to air.😊

What lot am I, I wonder?
If you don’t approve of experts, then how about informed commentators and organisations.
Anyway, it is Friday, aren’t you on the ale yet?😊
Yes. Cheeky post work beer and crisps.

Interesting read

Indeed, land values have been driven up by rich folk just trying to avoid paying IHT tax, the consequence is genuine farmers are priced out of the game.

I friend of mine was forced to move to France a few years ago for that very reason.
