With so many clubs in the mix does it equate to the 18th team being relegated with a higher number of points than normal?
My guess would be that someone with 39 points this season could be relegated.

Any statos out there who can compare the current situation with previous years?

Well the bookies are very rarely wrong and for what it's worth, (which isn't a lot), those three same teams would be my prediction to take the drop too.

Bournemouth just fon't have Premier League quality players, Southampton are reliant on James Ward-Prowse,
and Everton can't score goals for toffee and are a complete basket case off the field.

Bournemouth because I don't think the manager is good enough
Everton because of all the off the field entertainment
Southampton because they still look dodgy ( oh and cos the manager is not proven )

I don’t want Southampton or Bournemouth relegated as they are easy away games to get to . Much prefer northern clubs to get relegated oh and palace but i suspect they will have enough to stay up .

Everton and Leeds would be good .

I agree, my comment was a wish rather than a prediction.
Although I think only Bournemouth are nailed on for relegation. A couple of teams who think they are too big to go down are in for a nasty surprise.

I'd say it's the opposite. When there's only say 3-4 clubs in the mix at this stage, then there's a reasonable chance that a couple of them will pick up in the second half of the season thanks to either January transfers or bringing in a new manager. With 7 teams in the mix, 8 if you include Forest, there's a very good chance that at least 3 of them will have stinkers in the second half of the season.

Everton may save themselves with a new manager.... So I think Forest may well take the 3rd relegation slot.

I think Everton are gone. The fans and players seemed to have fallen out, there is no way back from that.

I’d add Southampton and Muff to the mix as I don’t rate their managers as top level. Their competitors seem to have much better managers and in some case, players.

It’s just a shame that Palace have too many points to get involved. They potentially need just 4 wins for safety and will probably get around 1 per month for the rest of the season. Can’t see them getting any higher up the table than they are now.
