Not seen such Bravery!
Wouldn't be surprised if Martin O'Neill trys to get Connolly on loan at Forest.
Aaron Connolly has so far played a few minutes of league football, for Luton in L1.
He's a promising player. but the idea though that Potter or indeed Bloom imagines that he is going to rely on u23s in our squad - as he was forced to do out of necessity , rather than choice at Swansea is remote to say the least (our best u23s will be getting more experience on loan) but seems to have become the norm on here.

Yes, that's clearly now not going to happen !With the benefit of hindsight .......................... Whoops!
Some player break into the first team and stay there, Rashford at Man Utd got some first team action and has kept performing. We should be trying to create an opportunity for talent to flourish and compete

I wonder where he will go..
From that we may assume that Gykores will be considered as a first team squad player, especially as he has played in a senior international with Sweden and scored He has also scored for Sweden under 21's in both games last week. I would like for him to at least be given a chance to break into the senior squad, which I think he will.
If Potter likes a quick/direct player, in the Daniel James mould, then Connolly has a real chance of playing for our first team this season.
We need to sign a right back before Sanders goes out on loan.
Likewise Connolly won't be loaned until a striker arrives !

The only way to 'create' a similar opportunity for Rashford is to go after some players with a baseball bat.
Rashford was 18 and was only called up to the Man U bench for a Europa League tie because Rooney was injured, Hernandez sold, Januzaj cup-tied, Will Keane (who?) got injured and James Wilson had recently been sent on loan to Brighton. Then Martial got injured in the warm-up and Rashford was suddenly asked to make his debut. He scored twice, scored twice against Arsenal three days later and the rest is history.
Them's the breaks that some players need
There are several managers who would've just put an extra midfielder on the bench and hoped to not need to bring on an attacker. Rashford was given a chance and has flourished, at Brighton our youngsters haven't even had the chance and have been continually blocked by a bench ful of players to shore up the game plan rather than be full of players who could change the game/formation/previous pattern of play.
Potter will not be afraid to make changes and try things and within that we could well see some players make 10+ appearences which would be a welcome change
And which Under 23 players do you think are good enough to make 10+ appearances in a team that avoids relegation?
